I hope everyone is having a great February with hopes that spring may be near. :-) In the Indiana District we have a lot going on in the coming weeks and months. Next weekend we have our quarterly district board meeting, where our district-wide leaders will make some final decisions on District Convention: Indiana Leadership Conference, among other things. Also now is the season to be thinking about running for an office, either club or district both of which will push you to reach your maximum leadership potential. Many divisions have already held elections. To find out if your division has held an elections contact your respective lieutenant governor. As for running for an executive office look at the District Convention : Leadership Conference page for an intent to run form.
District Convention: Indiana Leadership Conference is right around the corner. ALL registrations are due and must be RECEIVED by February 17th. The Convention will be the weekend of March 26-29th at the Sheraton at the Crossing in Indianapolis. The theme is Superheroes for Service and it will surely keep you on your toes, from workshops to Keynote Speakers you’ll learn a ton and have fun in the mean time. Please see the convention page for more information and more specific directions. Don’t miss an opportunity of a life time. Send your registration in TODAY! I will see you March 26-29th.

District update 12-30-09
Welcome to the first Indiana District update! I would like to start with a brief overview of what our hope is in making these updates. These weekly updates will replace our monthly newsletters. We believe these new “District updates” will be a much better way to reach our Indiana District Key Club members. With nearly every high school student using a social networking site, we felt these updates would be much more accessible to our nearly 6,300 members than a typical e mail style newsletter. My number one goal for these updates is communication. I want all members from the District Board to the Club board to be on the same page, and have all the important information they need at their fingertips!
I encourage everyone to be thinking about several things. The service is what built this organization don’t forget service is number one. Check out the website for service ideas! District Convention: Key Club Leadership Conference, themed “Superheroes in Service” will be held March 26-28, 2010. This weekend will be full of knowledge, leadership, workshops, elections, and dances; Please do yourself a favor and register today, registrations must be RECEIVED BY FEBRUARY 17, 2010 (not postmarked).
Also don’t forget Key Leader, April 9-11, 2010, a weekend full of leadership building, fun, and soul finding. Don’t miss it! Registration will open on www.Key-leader.org after the New Year.
